摘要：
To ensure optimum design in the replanting or refurbishment of power plant components it is essential to assess components within the framework of a whole-plant model. In the British nuclear power industry the NUMEG suite of whale-plant computer models is used for this purpose. The principles and use of NUMEG are illustrated here by reference to the replanting of steam turbines in British Energy's AGR power stations.
