摘要
A new challenge on recent hotel human resource management in China is how to manage the 1980s' staff, which refers to staff born in 1980s, wisely due to their unique characteristics. In this paper, the authors conducted a semi-structured interview with four hotel managers to gain a general evaluation of 1980s hotel employees and their characteristics and performances in hotels. In order to understand the 1980s hotel employees' perception towards hotel work, the authors applied an Exploratory Factor Analysis. The results revealed that there were three main items that should be concentrated including participating in decision making process, reasonableness in employees' payments and more promotion opportunities. The research was concluded by management strategies and implications based on data analyses and discussion.
