NMR Study of Filled Skutterudite with Heavy Lanthanide GdFe4P12 and TbFe4P12

摘要
We report the results of the P-31 NMR measurements on filled skutterudite phosphides with heavy lanthanide GdFe4P12 and TbFe4P12 with ferromagnetic transitions at T-C = 23 K and 10 K, in order to investigate the magnetic properties from microscopic viewpoints. The Knight shift components have the Curie-Weiss temperature dependencies at high temperatures, similar to those of the magnetic susceptibilities. Also, the nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate 1/T-1 is almost constant at high temperatures due to the interaction of the P-31 nucleus with fluctuating local moments at lanthanide sites, but decreases rapidly at low temperatures below T-C, indicating the suppression of the spin fluctuations by magnetic ordering.
