摘要
In this paper, a novel method of spatially coupling differential signals to an antenna structure is described. A differential signal is used to generate a current maximum/virtual short circuit under the antenna and electromagnetic energy is efficiently coupled from the transmission line to the antenna via an aperture. A 1.85GHz push-pull aperture-fed active integrated antenna is presented in which out-of-phase signals are combined within the aperture feed. Radiation patterns and gain measurements of both passive and active antennas are given, demonstrating a gain of 22dB in the embedded active devices.
