摘要：

A. S. Pushkin was a write of liberalism and pluralism. He was not equidistant to different social strata in his contact with them and description of them. He was not "situated between the Eastern and the Western cultures." His works reveal a blending of both cultures with the priority to the Western culture. Therefore, Pushkin's creative work is not situated at the intersection of the coordinate of the Russian culture, but it's at the northwest of the coordinate. In Pushkin studies we should try our best to restore the true colours to the poet in order that Pushkin Scholarship in our country gradually becomes mature.
