摘要
Monitoring urban heat island (UHI) is an important aspect of urban thermal environmental management. A method for UHI monitoring and information management based on geographic information system (GIS) is developed for upgrading UHT monitoring efficiency. Visual C# and Arc Objects components are employed in the information management system, which selected Arc Engine as the development platform. The information management system integrates the spatial and model system to achieve the information management of UHI. An application software is developed based on a case study in Huayan new city of Chongqing. The software can be used to predict UHI tendency and estimate urban outdoor thermal environment and provide visualization of UHI distribution, which can be references for urban planning and its sustainable development.
