摘要
College English communicative competence includes not only verbal competence but also nonverbal competence. Both teachers and students should become aware of the culturally determined differences, and accordingly act nonverbally with great enlightenment in a cross-cultural setting. The development of intercultural nonverbal communicative awareness and ability should become an important item on the agenda in College English classroom teaching process.
