摘要
Various types of new demolition methods and techniques are available in the demolition industry, which make the selection more complex. This paper first discusses the factors affecting the selection of chimney demolition techniques. Then, the paper reports on a study of possible demolition methods for reinforced concrete chimneys. The objectives of this research are to identify the criteria for selecting the demolition methods for chimney and to investigate the range of demolition methods that can be used in chimney demolition. The research also conducts a case study of an actual chimney demolition in order to capture the best way in demolishing it. Finally, it was found that the Non-Vibration method (diamond sawing) was a suitable technique that can be chosen as the method for demolishing concrete chimney.
