Thermal multilayer and continuous thermophysical profiles: The recursive approach.

The problem of unidimensional thermal profiles is considered with the use of the recursive method. A stair-case decomposition gives the spatial Green function of the general multilayer in case of a.c. heat modulated excitation. For the continuous profiles, the general formulae are applied to direct comparisons with the Brillouin-Kramers-Wentzel approximation and another approximation is given in case of a semi-infinite sample.
