摘要：

Use of topical or systemic herbs and herbal extracts (cosmeceuticals) during pregnancy and lactation period has increased in the recent years. These cosmeceuticals are not only viewed as having clinical benefits but are also generally believed to be safe by users. A small part of thousands of plants and botanical ingredients has been investigated scientifically. The purpose of this review was to provide the safety information about the dermatologic cosmeceuticals which can be used during pregnancy and lactation period.
