摘要：

Recent literature suggests that the incidence of postoperative endophthalmitis is variable and may be on the rise. This article reviews established perioperative preventative measures, and discusses sonic possible causes of postoperative endoplithalmitis that may be insufficiently addressed by Current risk reduction techniques. This article also considers future measures for reducing the risk of postoperative endoplithalmitis. (C) 2004 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
