Primary cutaneous large B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma in first-degree relatives

Primary cutaneous non-Hodgkin's lymphoma is a heterogeneous group of lymphoproliferative disorders characterized by indolent course, virtually exclusive skin involvement and the absence of systemic disease. We present two brothers, whose mother died of gastric diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, in whom in a period of 4 years primary cutaneous large B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma of the skin of the head was diagnosed. They were treated with immunochemotherapy according to R-CHOP protocol (rituximab and adriblastine, cyclophosphamide, oncovine and prednisone) achieving a complete remission. The possible etiological mechanism of this familial lymphoma occurrence is discussed. (C) 2012 Elsevier Masson SAS. All rights reserved.
