Primary extranodal CD30-positive T-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma of the oral mucosa - Report of two cases

CD30-positive extranodal T-cell lymphomas predominantly occur in the skin, and they are characterized by a rather indolent course with spontaneous regression of individual lesions. Their occurrence in the oral mucosa is rare and not well documented. Two cases are reported, one occurring in the oral mucosa in a 61-year-old man and originally presenting as a multifocal eosinophilic ulcer of the mucous membrane, and the other one mimicking periodontitis, occurring in the maxillary gingiva of a 75-year-old woman.
