摘要
With greater emphases being placed on the safety performance, the challenging task for the construction industry is to develop and employ an effective safety risk assessment on construction projects. This paper attempts to develop a conceptual model of assessment of safety risk factors based on the fuzzy analytical hierarchy process (AHP). Compared with other risk assessment methods, fuzzy AHP offers a number of distinct advantages. Firstly, it structures a decision problems logically, secondly, it provides a tool for a systematic analysis of identified risk factors, thirdly, it rank orders identified risk factors and lastly, it can incorporate in the analysis imprecise data describing the likelihood and consequence of identified risks in quantifying them. A conceptual model of assessment of safety risk on construction projects is presented.
