摘要
A reduced model for the microwave heating of a thin ceramic slab in a multimode TEN03 cavity is introduced and analysed. The model is given by simplification of the microwave power deposition term of a more realistic model when (i) the exact modal structure of the cavity's electric field energy density is replaced by Dirac delta functions that are centred on the energy density maxima, and (ii) the effects of non-linear radiative heat loss are neglected. Steady-state solutions of the reduced model and their linear stability properties are given by exact, closed-form expressions.
