摘要
Polysaccharides are widely applied as basic materials in medicine, cosmetic and pharmaceutical preparations. This short review reports recent advances in the application of chitosan and hyaluronic acid in preparation of thin films and 3D sponges for biomedical and cosmetic applications. Herein, the structure and application of above polysaccharides are discussed in general, and detailed examples are also drawn from scientific literature and practical work. New materials based on the blends of polysaccharides with other polymers have been discussed.
