摘要：
Measuring levels of HIV-1 RNA provides a means of staging HIV infection and monitoring changes in viral load during therapy. It is usually performed at baseline and at regular intervals during treatment. A new test, the Amplicor HIV-1 Monitor UltraSensitive test, provides a great increase in sensitivity and makes possible monitoring patients with viral loads below 400 copies/mL.
