摘要
The purpose of this industrial brief is to introduce an information system named Inventorum, which implements the idea of open innovation. Its aim is to increase cooperation between business and academia and in this way boost economic competitiveness. The system recommends innovations, projects, experts, partners, and conferences to the users based on their profiles. Information is served in three ways, namely as (i) fast recommendations, (ii) full recommendations, and (iii) search responses. This information platform has been developed by National Information Processing Institute in Poland. Any institution, company, or independent expert is welcome to join the platform, which is available on the Internet for free use (see http://inventorum.opi.org.pl/en). The paper briefly presents functions, advances, and some technical details of the proposed information system.
