Surfactants in textile and leather industry

Surfactants are used in many industries. Number one in !he surfactant field are the detergents, from the point of view of the consumption. But regarding the technical nature and the diversity of the products applied, the textile industry is certainly the most important. The use of surfactants begins during the fibers production and continues till the finishing through all different steps like preparation, spinning, weaving, pretreatment, dyeing. Surfactants are also important auxiliaries in leather from the skin to the end product. They are used in many formulations at each step of the manufacture : beamhouse, tanning, finishing.
