摘要
We extend the proof given by MacKay [Phys. Lett. A 251 (1999) 191] to the general case of arbitrary power-law type contact force f alpha delta(p). We find that the criterion for the existence of solitary waves in the horizontal granular chain is p > i. (C) 1999 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
