摘要
The competition between charge transfer and proton transfer observed during the dimethylsulfide chemical ionization mass spectrometry is exploited in order to discriminate PAH isomers undistinguishable in a gas chromatographic separation. Optimal conditions are reached if the reactant Proton Affinity (PA) is bracketed by the PAs of the isomer mixture consistuents.
