摘要
Application of carbon fiber fabric to concrete and masonry structures is a means of increasing structural capacity and repairing structural damage. Epoxy creates a bond between the fabric and the structure. The strength of the bond influences the effectiveness of the fabric. Bond strength varies according to the method used for fabric application. Differences include; varying surface preparation, use of multiple layers of fabric, use of carbon anchors, and creation of mechanical bond between the fabric and the structure. This study assessed the effects of these different application methods when strengthening concrete test specimens with carbon fiber fabric. These anchorage methods were analyzed using various tests including a modified RILEM bond test. Recommendations for selection of anchor systems are given based on the test and analytic results.
