摘要
Current paper discussed the performance characteristics of TiO2 and CuO nanolubricant on the journal bearing. This research paper develops the viscosity model for determining the correlation between viscosity and temperature for SAE 20W40 engine oil and analysing the performance characteristics of the journal bearing. Integrating nanoparticles in traditional lube engine oil shows significant effect in the performance characteristic of journal bearing. The computed result shows that accumulations of nanoparticles amplify the viscosity of base engine oil and in turn improves the performance characteristics of journal bearing.
