摘要
Current trends in the automotive industry are geared towards the development of partially or completely autonomous drive systems. The new regulations imply increasing the security level in operation and meeting minimum requirements for fault mode assistance. In this context, the provision of redundant solutions becomes imperative. Another critical requirement is to achieve a high degree of efficiency (minimum energy consumption). This involves the development of actuation systems and specific control algorithms that increase safety, efficiency and fault tolerance behavior. Based on the above-mentioned aspects, this paper proposes a study on a redundant drive concept that can be successfully integrated into the steering or brake systems of current vehicles and also fulfils the basic requirements for autonomous driving. In order to validate the theoretical aspects contained in this study, two distinct ways of modelling and simulation were used: FEM (Finite Element Method) analysis and equivalent mathematical equations implemented in MATLAB / Simulink software environment.
