摘要：

An unexpected change of the international name of the Beijing 2008 Olympic mascots from the former English word "Friendlies" to the latter Chinese Pinyin "Fuwa" was known as "Fuwa Event". It had great impacts on Olympic economy and culture in China. Accordingly, this study took 684 Chinese college students from three colleges in the city of Lanzhou, Gansu Province, Western China as the survey objects, made a questionnaire survey entitled "Social Perception on Fuwa Event and Olympic Culture in China", and used Excel and SPSS to deal with and analyze the data. Impact of Fuwa Event on Olympic cultures was studied. In addition, meaningful results and related suggestion for China's higher education reform and development were given.
