A Channel Gain-Based Hierarchical K-Best OSIC-SE Detection Algorithm for Stable Complexity in MIMO System

摘要
Sphere detection and Ordered Successive Interference Cancellation (OSIC) technologies are the most important techniques in multiple input multiple output (MIMO) detection. In this paper, a hierarchical MIMO detection technology which combines OSIC with K-Best SE algorithm is proposed. The proposed algorithm distributes layers into the two detect techniques and adjusts the ratio based on Channel Gain in each SNR level. The K-best improvement to the proposed algorithm can fix the complexity so that the algorithm is convenient for engineering implementation. By simulations in 8 x 8 uncoded MIMO systems with 16 Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (16-QAM), we have demonstrated that this improved algorithm can achieve low and stable computational complexity with a little degradation in performance.
