Study of precipitate and texture in low-carbon steels by neutron scattering techniques

摘要
The precipitation characteristic and texture in low-carbon steels were investigated by adjusting the coiling temperature. The chemical composition and the shape of precipitate were confirmed using TEM and EDS. The size distribution of precipitate was evaluated by TEM and SANS, especially fine precipitates less than 10 nm were evaluated by SANS. The texture of hot bands, cold rolled sheets and annealed sheets were investigated using neutron beam. The effect of coiling temperature appeared in the fine precipitate distribution in hot bands. The hot band and the cold rolling textures were found independent of the coiling temperature. While recrystallization texture showed higher intensity in the high coiling temperature steel. The weak intensity of recrystallization texture of the low coiling temperature steel sheet was considered to be due to fine precipitates. (C) 2004 Published by Elsevier B.V.
