The tanh method and a variable separated ODE method for solving double sine-Gordon equation

We use the tanh method and a variable separated ODE method for solving the double sine-Gordon equation and a generalized form of this equation. Several exact travelling wave solutions are formally derived. The two methods provide distinct solutions of different physical structures. (c) 2005 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
