摘要
The microstructure and fracture behavior of aluminum matrix composites reinforced with copper coated short carbon fiber were investigated. 4% carbon fibers were added to aluminium matrix through the stir casting method. The microstructure of composites showed that there was a uniform distribution of carbon fibers and good interfacial bonding with the matrix. The tensile test was carried out to evaluate the tensile strength of the composites. The microstructure of the fracture surface were observed by using scanning electron microscopy ( SEM), and the facture mechanism of the composites was discussed.
