摘要
This paper investigates success factors for supply chain network design projects in practice. A structural equation model of project success is developed, in which project management excellence and supply chain data excellence are utilized as drivers of project success. Using data from an online survey, the model is validated with a partial least squares structural equation modeling approach. The main contributions of this study are as follows: First, it presents an approach for solving network design problems in practice. Second, it proves that while being secondary to project management excellence, the availability and quality of supply chain data is of high importance for this special type of supply chain management project.
