摘要
This meta-analysis was aimed to evaluate the association of interferon-gamma (IFN-gamma) +874A/T (rs2430561) polymorphism with oral lichen planus (OLP) susceptibility. PubMed, Cochrane Library, Scopus, and Web of Science databases were systematically searched until August 2019. Review Manager 5.3 software was used to retrieve the pooled odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) and Comprehensive Meta-Analysis 2.0 software was used for calculation of the publication bias and sensitivity analyses. A total of 59 records were retrieved from the databases, four of which were included in the meta-analysis. The pooled OR was 1.74 [95% CI: 1.38, 2.21; p < .00001] for T vs. A, 3.29 [95% CI: 1.96, 5.51; p < .00001] for TT vs. AA, 1.97 [95% CI: 1.34, 2.89, p = .0006] for TA vs. AA, 2.24 [95% CI: 1.57, 3.19; p < .00001] for TA + TT vs. AA, and 1.74 [95% CI: 1.17, 2.60; p = .007] for TT vs. AA + TA. Based on subgroup analysis, this association was found in Asian ethnicity and population-based individuals. The findings of the meta-analysis confirmed that T allele and TT and TA genotypes of rs2430561 polymorphism had an increased risk in OLP patients compared to controls. Ethnicity and source of controls can be effective factors involved in the association between this polymorphism and OLP susceptibility.
