All-optical directional coupler switching in chalcogenide glass

摘要
The waveguide-based directional couplers in As2S3 glass were fabricated by using inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching. Their ultrafast all-optical switching operation was demonstrated at 1.53 mu m with switching peak power of 55 W.
