摘要
A novel ultra-wideband planar monopole antenna (UWB) for UWB applications is presented in this paper. The proposed antenna covers a frequency range from 3.11 to 11 GHz. The antenna design comprises a thin metal strip, a modified ground plane. The dimensions of the complete prototype are 69.5x55x 0.8 mm(3), which includes a board with dimensions of 60 x 55 mm(2) normally used in handset applications. Details of the proposed antenna design are described and simulated results are discussed below.
