摘要
Productivity on CNC machines is an important factor in using them for machining parts in a flexible technology. Many factors are involved on the productivity and accuracy of producing parts like: cutting parameters, tool used, stiffness coefficient, holding devices. In this paper is taken into account only the influence of the corner radius r(epsilon) of the tool insert on the part accuracy and productivity. It is known that the machine program for CNC machines is made for a particular corner radius of the tool insert. But, sometimes, it is happen that the machine operator is forced to work with other corner radius of the tool insert that was in the initial machine program of workpiece. In this case if is working with other corner radius of tool insert, the accuracy of machining and part profile will be not as is demanded in technical documentation of part. For this reason in the paper are shown what are the modifications that appear on the work-piece surface and what are the changing that is necessary to do to maintain the part accuracy without stopping the running of the production.
