Disturbance attenuation of the nonlinear benchmark system by approximate discrete-time nonlinear H∞ control

摘要
This paper considers the disturbance attenuation of the discrete-time model of the RTAC (rotational/translational actuator) system, also known as the nonlinear benchmark system in literatures. A third-order approximation of the discrete-time nonlinear H-infinity control law is designed. The control law is compared with the linear discrete-time H-infinity control law by computer simulation and has displayed a better performance than that of the linear control law.
