摘要
In this article, I reflect on the origins of relational psychoanalysis through the lens of my personal engagement with its development from the early 1980s to the present. As a candidate and then an early faculty member at the NYU Postdoctoral Program when the relational track came into being, and a member of the editorial board of Psychoanalytic Dialogues when it was founded in 1991, I participated in and had a close-up view of the evolution of relational psychoanalytic thought from the day the term was coined to the present time. I describe these personal historical and theoretical developments here from that vantage point.
