MUSICAL AND STYLISTIC ANALYSIS OF MAHOMET (1882): FIRST PASODOBLE OF THE HISTORY OF THE MUSIC OF MOORS AND CHRISTIANS

This paper analyses the stylistic and musical characteristics of Mahomet, the first pasodoble in the history of the music of Moors and Christians and therefore also considered the first musical composition composed specifically for this celebration. The Festera Music, which is interpreted in the Celebration of Moors and Christians, is a part of the culture and folklore in many towns and cities of the Spanish levante. It is an extremely valuable contribution which has enriched the musical band repertoire and has some contents that print you nature and distinguishes it from any other genre.
