摘要
The use of social media, such as Facebook, in government agencies is important to disseminate accurate information to citizens. However, some government agencies do not engage social media usage as official platforms to disseminate information. In addition, agencies are encouraged to increase engagement with citizens via social media platforms. However, only some agencies are using social media effectively to increase citizen engagement. In this study, an e-government 2.0 engagement model is developed based on social media usage among government agencies. The proposed model includes five categories of information disseminated by government agencies via their Facebook pages and three Facebook engagement indicators (likes, shares, and comments). Further research may be required to test the proposed model by assessing government-citizen engagement via official government agencies' Facebook pages and expert validation.
