摘要
Purpose of Review Pregnancy-associated breast cancer (PABC) can be challenging to manage, requiring the balance of appropriate oncologic therapy with maternal fetal risk. Multidisciplinary collaboration is integral, and this review aims to evaluate current practices and management options for PABC. Recent Findings Imaging evaluation favors ultrasound and mammogram during pregnancy. Staging imaging is also feasible with thoughtful consideration of the risks, benefits, and fetal radiation exposure. Treatment options for PABC vary with gestational age, and careful planning for surgery, systemic therapy, and radiation therapy should account for the timing of therapy to minimize the risks to mother and baby. Breastfeeding may be contraindicated while on select systemic therapies. Treatment options for PABC are evolving, but further study is warranted in this population. With ongoing advances in imaging, surgery, and systemic therapy, emerging recommendations and guidelines should be integrated into the current understanding of PABC management.
