Existence and stability of modulating multi-pulse solutions

摘要：
We consider pattern forming systems close to the threshold of instability in infinitely extended cylindrical domains. If the associated modulation equation for subcritical bifurcations possesses multi-pulse solutions, then the pattern forming system possesses modulating multi-pulse solutions. Moreover, stability and instability of such solutions is transfered from the modulation equation to the pattern forming system.
