摘要
The first Asian-Pacific Radio Science conference was held on the Science and Engineering campus of Chuo Universtiy in Tokyo, Japan. Its principal objective was to stimulate and to coordinate research in all fields of radio science, from across the Asian-Pacific region. In particular, the conference showed a special feature on two all-union sessions known as solar-power satellites (SPS) and wireless power transmission (WPT). The concept of SPS-WPT envisions the generation of electric power by solar energy in space for use on earth.
