BUDGETING OF THE MEGA-PROJECTS: THE PRODUCTION OF URBAN SPACE IN Porto Alegre in the XXI Century

The article deals with the production of urban space in the city of Porto Alegre, Brazil in the XXI century primeira decade. After a period of urban gobienrno where they have experienced participatory forms of management that became world model city now goes through various transformations where a form of management of urban space is increasingly dominant. In this sense, the article presents some of the mega projects in operation in the city presenting its promoters and strategies for action.
