摘要：

Background "Recommendations for cancer pain treatment in adult patients" were published in Slovenia for the first time in 2001. Owing to new achievements in this field the Recommendations needed to be updated. Therefore, a new "Recommendations for cancer pain treatment in adult patients" has been prepared. It is important for the claims to have the levels indicated with Evidence Based Medicine (EBM), which is an established practice in these kinds of publications. The indicated levels are described thoroughly in the Introduction to the Recommendations which will be available in a printed publication, probably at the beginning of the next year.
