摘要
Underground engineering disasters, such as rockbursts and spallings, are major threats to the safety of rock excavation projects. Initial geo-stress information is a key index for predicting such disasters. However, there are considerable inaccuracies for in-situ stress measurement results, thus lowering the reliability of prediction results. To address this issue, a comprehensive approach for using in-situ stress measurement data is presented. General knowledge of the geo-stress filed is firstly obtained based on investigating geological conditions, tectonic characteristics, and local topography information at project site. Quantitative evaluations are then performed to revealthe characteristics of measured stress tensors at measurement points using whole space stereographic projection method and typical plane stress project method. Finally, by applying local failure criterion, potential underground disasters can be predicted. The presented method is further illustrated with an engineering application. The results well prove the correctness and efficiency of the presented method.
