摘要
White light-emitting diodes (LEDs) for lighting applications can also be used for data transmission. While most manufacturers of LEDs provide data on lighting properties, there is little information about their communication characteristics. In this article, a newly developed model is presented to estimate communication parameters based on photometric properties in the data sheet. It does not only predict the spectral properties and the blue-yellow distribution, but also provides an indication of the achievable LED's modulation bandwidth.
