摘要
The crystal structure of [Cu(C12H8N2)(3)][C(CN)(3)](2) is composed of discrete [Cu(phen)(3)](2+) cations (phen is 1,10-phenanthroline) and [C(CN)(3)](-) anions. The Cu-II atom is octahedrally coordinated by the three phen ligands. As a consequence of the Jahn-Teller effect, the two axial Cu-N bonds of 2.219 (3) and 2.238 (3) Angstrom are longer than the equatorial Cu-N bonds, which are in trans positions, paired in two couples of almost equal distance [2.066 (3)/2.050 (3) and 2.121 (3)/2.121 (3) Angstrom].
