Analysis of impedance matching stair-shaped slot antenna for 60 GHz femtocell applications

摘要
In indoor wireless access systems femtocell access point gives the best solution to provide high data rates. In indoor communication applications few concerns are the effect the propagation of the signal. To avoid those effects require high performance and high directivity antennas are required. In this article stair-shaped unequal slotted antenna analyzed how reflection coefficient, impedance and directivity changes by inserting unequal slots in the structure. Compared with existing structures proposed structure given good results. Stair shaped unequal slotted antenna max reflection coefficient(S-11) as 43dB at 60 GHz, bandwidth of 12.02GHz, directivity as 5.31dBi with the efficiency of 55 %. Dimensions of the stair-shaped unequal slotted antenna are 6*4*0.508mm(3). Due to its dimensions and bandwidth this stair-shaped unequal slotted antenna is more suitable for millimeter wave applications like Femto cell, Microcell and macro cell applications for today's world.
