First report of anthracnose on tillandsia caused by Colletotrichum sp. in Japan

摘要
In July 2018, tillandsia (Tillandsia sp.) plants with brown to dark brown lesions on the leaves and pseudobulbs were found in Japan. Based on morphological and phylogenetic analyses, the fungi isolated from the lesions were identified as Colletotrichum sp. that were closely related to the Colletotrichum boninense species complex. The isolate caused brown to dark brown lesions on tillandsia after inoculation. This is the first report of anthracnose on tillandsia caused by Colletotrichum sp. in Japan.
