摘要
Numerous publications concerning acupuncture in emergency medicine have raised national and international attention. However, there are no large-scale randomised double-blind trials on this subject. In order to facilitate meaningful studies in the future, emergency doctors must be trained in acupuncture to a sufficient level of expertise. This article may foster interest in acupuncture training. Case reports illustrate the indications for acupuncture and pain therapy in different orthopaedic emergency situations as a complement to established therapeutic strategies.
