摘要
CD147 or EMMPRIN belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily of membrane receptors and is expressed in epithelial cells, cancer cells and T cells of the immune system. In T cells CD147 functions as a receptor for soluble cyclophilins and is involved in chemotaxis. We recently reported its expression to high levels and association with suppressive function in regulatory T cells. Here, we discuss its potential application as a marker of activated regulatory T cells. (C) 2013 Elsevier Inc. All rights reserved.
